Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its Exynos-powered Galaxy Note 3 phablet just days after it released the update for the international version of the Note 3. The update is currently being rolled out only in Russia but we expect it to hit Note 3 in other countries soon.
Android 4.4.2 brings with it minor UI changes including the KitKat style white status bar icons. The update also brings with it updated Samsung keyboard apps, camera lockscreen shortcut, and full-screen album art while playing music.
Some of the core Android 4.4.2 changes include support for wireless printing, new emojis, option to choose from stock messaging app and Hangouts for SMS and MMS, option to change default launchers under settings, among other things.
According to reports, the new update boosts the performance of the Note 3 as is evident from benchmark scores.
