EE has rolled out a new service dubbed ‘EE Film Club’ which will let Brits stream latest movies for just £1 a week.
Launched in collaboration with movie rental firm Wauki.tv, the new EE Film Club service will be available to all EE, Orange, and T-Mobile customers in the UK starting March 30.
In order to avail the offer, EE customers will be required to text the word ‘film’ to number 141, after which they’ll receive a promotional code which can be redeemed Monday to Wednesday at Wuaki.tv. The text message will cost 35p, so it means the film will cost £1.35 in total.
The £1 rentals will be valid for 48 hours and can be streamed from a ton of different devices, including Android, iOS, PC, Mac as well as the company’s own EE TV box. EE has confirmed that the offer will include “a wide range of films” including “the majority of new releases.”
Pippa Dunn, Chief Marketing Officer at EE, said “More people than ever before are downloading and streaming movies so they can watch at home or on the go.
“With 1 in 3 UK adults enjoying digital entertainment every week – and this number is only going to grow – our viewing habits are clearly evolving.
“This reaffirms our commitment to put customers first as we deliver a series of new offers in 2015.
“The new weekly £1 film offer launches at the end of March and is set to be a box office hit with our customers.”
The new offer replaces EE’s popular Orange Wednesday promotional offer which was pulled back in February this year.
