Everything Everywhere (EE) and Virgin Mobile have extended their Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) agreement, EE confirmed today.
Neither of the companies have revealed the duration for which the agreement has been extended for. Under the agreement EE will continue providing Virgin Mobile, which is world’s first MVNO, with its infrastructure and network using which the latter will continue providing mobile services to its 3 million customers.
Virgin Mobile claimed that its customers get the best of connectivity – be at home, office or on the move – thanks to the decade old partnership, which is now moving in an exciting new phase.
EE provides its MVNO services to a total of 25 customers including Tesco, Phones4u’s LIFE Mobile, and The People’s Operator. Tesco Mobile announced its plans to be the first MVNO operator that provides 4G services.
Gerry McQuade, Chief Marketing Officer of non-consumer at EE said, “By choosing the EE network, Virgin Media will ensure its customers and around 14,000 employees continue to have access to the UK’s biggest and fastest mobile network.”
