EA’s action gaming title ‘Battlefield Hardline’ has succeeded in retaining No. 1 spot in the UK gaming charts for the week ending March 28.
Even with a 43 per cent fall in week-on-week sales, Hardline managed to beat last week’s top new release, Sony’s PS4-exclusive Bloodborne which debuted at no.2 on the charts. The newly released gaming title missed out on the top spot by 22,500 copies.
Meanwhile, the new multiplatform release Borderlands: The Handsome Collection- a PS4 and Xbox One remaster of 2012’s Borderlands 2 and last year’s Pre-Sequel, debuted at No.3 position.
Grand Theft Auto V dropped once place to No.4, owing to an 11 per cent sales dip, while FIFA 15 remains steady in fifth place.
Elsewhere, sales of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Far Cry 4 rose 43 per cent and 233 per cent this week respectively, all thanks to Easter retailer promotions.
The only other new entry which succeeded in making it to the top forty was RIDE, which landed in 25th position.
