HTC has announced a dual-SIM version of its flagship smartphone, the HTC One, in the UK for £494.99.
The dual-SIM HTC One also features a microSD card slot allowing users to expand the storage to up to 64GB. HTC is targeting business and corporate users who normally possess two SIM – one for work and one for home use – through the tweaked HTC One. One thing to remember though is that both the SIMs won’t support high speed internet connectivity – one will work up to HSPA with the second limited to EDGE.
The new HTC One, powered by 1.7GHz quad-core processor, doesn’t incorporate any other changes apart from the two things listed above. Users will still be able to access the BlinkFeed homepage for all their social feeds; HTC Zoe Ultrapixel camera allows for snappy photos; the dual front-facing BoomSound speakers; 4.7-inch full HD 1,920 x 1,080 display at 468ppi; 2GB RAM; NFC and a 2300mAh battery.
Peter Frolund, HTC general manager said, “Companies are offering greater choice to employees to choose their own phone or are happy for staff to use a personal handset for both work and pleasure.”
