Steve Kondik has announced that CyanogenMod now powers over 10 million Android devices across the globe.
“CM just crossed the 10 million user mark! So awesome” announced Kondik. The 10 million users is the number of ‘active’ users Kondik clarified.
According to CyanogenMod Statistics page, the total install count currently stands at 10,022,884 and over 12,500 have been added in the last 24 hours alone. Another think that Kondik noted was that devices that are not actively used by its owners are removed from the above statistics page in 90 days.
Digging deeper into the stats, CyanogenMod Jelly Bean ROMs have proved to be the most popular builds with a user base of over 1.15 million alone. Samsung Galaxy S accounts for the largest install base when it comes to handset type with half a million active users around the world followed by Galaxy S II at 494,424 installs and Galaxy S III at 458,634.
