Citroen has given a face-lift to its C1 ahead of the Geneva Motor Show to be held next month.
The original C1, which was launched back in 2005, has been fully redesigned and will be made available in three different options – three door; five door with conventional metal roof and a an Airscape variant design giving a budget car the experience of the convertible.
The front end gets the two head lamps with round headlights and day time running lights. The rear has the tailgate glass and square light. There are about eight different colours to choose including the Airscape.
The cargo carrying capacity of the car is 196 litres and with the back seat folded, the capacity increases to a whopping 750 litres.
The interior design is structured, clean, and bright colour finish. There is also this 7-inch touch screen that allows for controls of radio, phone, computer and so forth.
The new C1 is available with the choice of two petrol engines: e-VTI68 Airdream engine featuring Stop/Start technology and mated to a 5-speed transmission and a VTi 68 engine with clutchless 5-speed gearbox.
The top of the line engine is a VTi 82 and based on Citroen’s PureTech engine. The 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder petrol engine is capable of producing 83ps and 118Nm Torque with a range of 0-100kmph in 11 seconds.
Company claims the fuel consumption of 27.63kmpl and the CO2 emission is 99g/km.
