A leaked image, what appeared to be the promotional material of the upcoming Apple’s iPhone 6 confirming the smartphone launch, has turned out to be nothing but a conceptual design!
Yesterday, Chinese carrier China Telecom posted a image of the alleged next generation iPhone 6 accidentally, which was pulled back after a while, long enough to get the attention of news outlets.
CNet readers have pointed out that the image isn’t any marketing material, but a concept art by the designers Tomas Moyano and Nicolàs Aichino from Yanko Design, which offers customers just another realistic glimpse of much-rumoured iPhone 6. Both the images are indeed identical down to the tagline “Even Better.”
The image featured 3 iPhone 6 units in colours – silver, black and champagne and showed off the rounded edges the handset. The concept design of the smartphone is convincing and adheres to the rumours and the previously leaked images.
The post, which in fact seemed to be a big leak, ahead of the official launch, also noted that the iPhone 6 will be available as unlocked device with China Telecom for LTE, WCDMA, CDMA2000, GSM, and CDMA1X networks. Notably, the carrier has been selling locked iPhone till date.
Apple’s iPhone 6 is expected to hit the shelves in 2 variants – 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models. Rumours have it that the company will unveil the smaller version at the event on September 9, and the larger phablet version by this fall. However, the Cupertino hasn’t yet official confirmed any of the reports related to the iPhone 6.
