Candy Crush has become the second most popular on-the-go game with over 500 million downloads behind Angry Birds series, which has registered over 1 billion downloads. King has revealed that will be releasing more and more exciting content for the game over the course of next few months.
King also revealed that over 150 billion games have been played on Candy Crush by millions of users across the globe. The game has well over 400 stages and the game seems to be a never ending one with King offering the first 35 stages for free. Gamers can unlock the next 20 games for 69p.
If we dwell into statistics, nearly 70 percent of Britons play Candy Crush either on their smartphone or tablet during their commute to work. Further, women in the age group of 25-55 are the game’s most loyal fans.
Statistics of some other games worth mentioning here include Smurfs Village (56 million downloads); Angry Birds Space and Draw Something (50 million downloads each); Pool Pro Online (25 million downloads); and Fruit Ninja (20 million downloads).
