Call of Duty: Ghosts release is just a week away and a new trailer posted on callofduty’s official Instagram page indicate that guys over at Infinity Ward may have a couple of tricks under their sleeve, which they haven’t revealed officially including the new ‘Extinction’ mode.
The new trailer showcases standard Call of Duty: Ghosts logo morphing into something similar to an alien skull. Following the release of the trailer, imgur was flooded with screenshots from the game suggesting that Infinity Ward has included a new mode dubbed ‘Extinction’ mode, which will pit humans against aliens.
There have been images which refer to something called alien hives and have references to challenge wherein a player is required to kill a certain number of aliens before the hive is destroyed. There are zombie-oriented modes already available in CoD and if the images turn out to be true, then the new mode will probably replace the zombie modes.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is all set to launch on November 5 on all gaming platforms including Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, PS4, Xbox One and PC. Activision is hoping to outsell Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V, which has managed to break as many as 7 Guinness world records including all-time sales records.
