Call of Duty: Ghosts has managed to outsell all other major gaming titles in the UK and has retained its top position in all format UK charts for the third time in a row, fifth since its launch.
The game outsold FIFA 14 last week by just 600 units; however, the cumulative sales for the franchise are piling up and it could well be the best seller this Christmas. Overall sales drop for COD: Ghosts stood at 21 percent week-on-week, while FIFA 14 registered a decline of just 3 percent and retained second position.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes was one of the biggest gainer this week as it leapfrogged three titles and managed to garner third position by registering 70 percent more sales as compared to last week – the sales jump can be attributed to the attractive price reductions. The same was the case with Need for Speed: Rivals as it managed to find itself in the seventh position up from eleventh last week.
Battlefield 4 and Assassin’s Creed IV went down one position each, while Grand Theft Auto V was knocked off to the eight position from fifth last week. Sony’s Gran Turismo 6 was another shocker having registered sales decline in tune of 37 percent week-on-week in its second week and finished at the bottom of the top 10 charts.
