Samsung has confirmed that its upcoming Galaxy Note 3 Neo won’t be available for purchase in the UK and US from local retailers or telecom operators.
There were already speculations on whether the handset will make it to US or UK and now Android Central has a confirmation directly from Samsung UK that the handset won’t make it to UK shelves. “Samsung UK can confirm that the Note 3 Neo will not be coming to the UK market”, read the statement.
Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the specification of the Note 3 Neo; however, leaks have indicated that the smartphone will be toned down version of the Note 3 with a 5.5-inch display with 720p resolution, 2GB RAM, and 1.3GHz Cortex A7 Exynos hexa-core chip coupled with a Mali-T624 GPU.
An insider at a Belgian retailer has revealed to SamMobile that the Note 3 Neo will go on preorder within a few days.
Engadget has it from a Samsung representative that the phablet won’t be launching in US either and is expected to arrive in ‘select countries/regions’ and the availability in these regions will be announced at the time of launch.
