A white color version of BlackBerry’s December released ‘BlackBerry Classic’ smartphone is now on sale in the UK.
The smartphone is currently available through the BlackBerry website, Clove Technology and Mobile Phones Direct SIM free for £300 including VAT. Amazon will stock the white BlackBerry Classic version at the end of this week.
“The introduction of the BlackBerry Classic in white offers yet another colour choice to users who desire a stylish smartphone, yet understand the need for a mobile business tool that keeps them productive and securely manages their information,” said BlackBerry devices and emerging solutions president Ron Louks.
To recap, ‘BlackBerry Classic’ features a 3.5-inch glass touchscreen, a qwerty keyboard, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage expandable by a microSD card up to 128GB, a non-removable 2,515mAh battery, 8-megapixel rear cam with a LED flash, a 2-megapixel front snapper and a textured plastic back. It runs on the latest BlackBerry 10.3 OS and supports native Android apps via the Amazon Appstore.
As far as connectivity options are concerned, the handset supports 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4 LE.
There’s also the expected BB features on board, including the BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Assistant – that’s Siri/Google Now/Cortana alternative and BlackBerry Blend, first seen on the Passport, which allows users to check notifications, BBM, text messages, e-mails, documents and more, via a desktop computer.
