While most of the Apple’s rivals raised a sceptical brow about Apple Pay, Bill Gates has shared a positive view about the recently introduced mobile payment system.
During an interview with Bloomberg, Gates said that Apple Pay is a “great example” of the way a cell phone identifies users and lets them make transactions inexpensively and safely. He also appreciated that Apple has designed a way by which users can make payments using any application and pay with confidence and being “quite sure about who it is, on the other end.”
Gates spoke about how to get the underprivileged members of the society into the banking system. He also appreciated Apple Pay for eliminating the need for carrying a physical card which has caught the attention of the critics who say that it Pay must not be valued as superior just for that reason, as using a physical card is by no way uncomfortable or tedious.
While some critics also point out that it’s only a matter of time before the others come up with similar ways of mobile payment, the fact that Apple has enthusiastic individuals who would be willing to adopt the system in its early stage is likely seen as an advantage that Apple Pay has over the others.
