BBM for Windows Phone has landed on Windows Phone Store, but you won’t be able to download the app just yet as it is in a private beta stage.
The listing of the app appeared on Windows Phone Store indicating that BlackBerry is trying its best to meet with the July release date it announced earlier.
“We’re getting ready to welcome Windows Phone users to the BBM community”, reads the description of the app on Windows Phone Store. The listing doesn’t have any screenshots of the app thereby keeping fans guessing about the layout, appearance and the features that may be included in the first release.
BlackBerry has already launched BBM for iPhone and Android over 6 months back and those with Windows Phone devices have been requesting the app ever since. One of the reasons behind delayed launch of BBM for Windows Phone could be the relatively ‘very less’ popularity of Windows Phones.
Because of the brevity of the app’s listing, we do not have much information on hand about the apps features, but we anticipate BBM Chat and Emoticons, Personalisation, Stickers, BBM Groups and Channels as some of the features available at launch time.
