Aston Martin Lagonda, which has been only available in select few regions in the world, will soon be available in the UK as the company has expanded the line-up of countries where its latest luxury car will be sold.
Aston Martin will be accepting orders for Lagonda Taraf from its dealers in more major markets, including the UK, Continental Europe and South Africa. The car will still be available in limited numbers and buyers will have the option of selecting from a left hard or right hand drive.
The car was initially made available to buyers in the Middle East only following a launch in Dubai, but there were hints that it will make it to the UK. Aston Martin has said that they are going to manufacture strictly limited small series of no more than 200 cars. Aston Martin is hand-manufacturing the Taraf at its manufacturing facilities in Gaydon, Warwickshire, in a dedicated building.
The Lagonda Taraf is a 6.0-litre V12-engined super saloon that is being offered through company’s VIP sales programme with precise pricing details remaining confidential. Each Lagonda customer can opt for personalization options that will make their car unique via the popular Q by Aston Martin bespoke service.
“Opening up the Lagonda Taraf to an increased number of customers around the world was a high priority for me as soon as I joined Aston Martin late last year”, said Aston Martin chief executive Dr Andy Palmer.
Dr Palmer added that he is very happy that the company will now be offering the Lagonda Taraf to more potential owners from across the globe.
“I’m also particularly pleased that we have been able to engineer Lagonda for right-hand drive markets meaning, of course, that I’m sure we will see the car in use on Aston Martin’s ‘home ground’ of the UK in due course”, Palmer added.
