Apple has seemingly taken the lackluster sales in India during last quarter of 2013 to heart as new reports indicate that Cupertino may have slashed prices of original iPad Mini prices in the country by 23%.
Last week we saw reports of Apple’s plan of launching 8GB iPhone 4 in India. Earlier in the day today we had reports flowing in that the handset will be priced between Rs. 22,000 and Rs. 23,000 (£217 to £227). Local vendors and analysts are of the opinion that the price isn’t aggressive enough to give a tough competition to other smartphones.
Just a couple of days back we came to know that Apple has slashed prices of the Original iPad Mini by as much as 23 percent in a bid to take on low-cost Android rivals. According to a local retailer users will be able to avail the discount offer through EMI schemes as well as cash-back options.
We haven’t had any official word from Apple yet and neither have any online retailers slashed the prices on their sites.
