Apple has confirmed its next product launch event has been scheduled for October 16 where the tech giant is expected to unveil its new iPad line.
Cupertino has already begun sending out invites for the big event, scheduled to take place next Thursday, in the Town Hall auditorium at company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, beginning at 6pm UK time. A simultaneous event will be held in Apple’s Kurfürstendamm store in Berlin for members of the European press.

Although Apple Inc. isn’t disclosing what’s on the agenda, the invitation for the event has been spotted with a close-up of the top of the company’s logo alongside a tagline which reads “It’s been way too long.”
According to rumors, the Cupertino could unveil a line of new iPad tablets and Mac computers, as well as talk about its new Mac operating system software at the event.
Apple is expected to launch two new iPads -‘ iPad Air 2’ and a 12.9-inch ‘iPad Pro’. The new iPad Air 2 is likely to ship with a bigger screen with fingerprint scanning Touch ID sensors on board. A bling gold iPad Air 2 version is also on the list.

A new 27-inch iMac with 5K-resolution Retina display, a thin profile and faster processors as well as improved Wi-Fi antennas, is also expected to be revealed.
Furthermore, Apple’s latest operating system for Macs, MacBooks, and iMacs, dubbed OS X Yosemite, which is approaching the end of beta testing, is expected to make an appearance too. Yosemite was first showcased at the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference held in June this year.
Apple Pay, the iPad makers’ NFC-based secure mobile payment service, might also be on the launch cards.
