Amazon on Wednesday announced it has added a host of new tracks and playlists to its music streaming service, Amazon Prime Music.
The retailer giant is expanding its song library to include hundreds of thousands of new songs as well as hundreds of new curated Prime Playlists.
David Guetta, Al Green, Miles Davis, Kendrick Lamar, Linkin Park, Shakira, Deadmau5, Ella Fitzgerald, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Neil Young, DJ Snake & Lil Jon, Young the Giant, A$AP Rocky, Elvis, Oasis, Kacey Musgraves, Ray Charles, Panic! at the Disco, Wyclef Jean, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Skrillex, John Coltrane are some of the popular artists whose music will be added to the streaming service.
In addition, Amazon is also adding hundreds of playlists including “Upbeat Indie Vibes,” “Electronic Beats for Work,” “Rainy Day Jazz,” “Jack White and More,” “Bass Drops and Fist-Pumps,” and “Justin Timberlake’s Top Songs.”
Amazon VP of Digital Music Steve Boom said the response to Prime Music has “far exceeded” the company’s expectations. He said the company has significantly expanded the Prime Music catalog within one month of its launch. The company is quite pleased to offer Prime Music subscribers with hundreds of great new playlists, Boom added.
Amazon launched Prime Music on June 12. The music streaming service offers millions of U.S. Prime members’ with unlimited, ad-free access to over a million songs on iOS, Android, Windows, OS X, Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX at no additional cost to their membership. The retailer giant has also announced a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime for non-Prime members.
