Amazon UK has delayed the original November shipping date for Google’s new Nexus 9 tablet to the middle of December as the online retailer faces stock crunch.
The Nexus 9, which went on sale in the UK on October 15 last week, was available for pre-orders with Amazon soon after the launch with a November 3 scheduled shipment date.
But it seems that the online retailer is currently facing some trouble getting the new Nexus device in stock as the product page on the site now lists a shipping date of December 15 for both storage options.
Meanwhile, the Google Play Store is now listing the 32GB WiFi-only Black Nexus 9 variant as being out of stock, while the 32GB White model and 16GB Nexus 9 Black and White variants are still available to buy.
Both Amazon and Google are selling the Nexus 9 at the same price, with the Wi-Fi version costing £319 (approx. $513) for the 16GB version and 32GB Wi-Fi model and 32GB Wi-Fi + LTE model costing £399 (approx. $642) and £459 (approx. $738) respectively.

Powered by an Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset clocked with a 2.3 GHz dual-core CPU, the HTC-made Nexus 9 features a 8.9-inch display boasting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, 3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage on board, a 6,700 mAh battery, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.6 MP front snapper and a pair of front-facing speakers. The tablet will run Google’s latest mobile software iteration dubbed Android L.
Unfortunately, Nexus 9 does not support for a microSD card slot which means user won’t be able to add additional memory storage to the device.
The device comes with a two position keyboard folio case which attaches magnetically to the tablet to offer improved typing. The new Nexus 9 is also the first Android device to come equipped with a 64-bit hardware and software.
