Specifications of LG’s upcoming smartphone G3, rumored to be the LG G2’s successor, has been leaked online on US provider Sprint’s website.
A User Agent Profile of a device with model number LG-LS990 was noticed on the telecom operator’s website. A UAProf is an XML file format which is typically found with an RDF extension that outlines the capabilities of a mobile device.
According to the UAProf, the LG-LS990 will feature a 5.5-inch screen with 2K (2,560 x 1,440p) resolution. There were speculations in the past few months of LG using a 2K panel in the G3 smartphone. If this turns true, then LG will be the first phone maker to fit such a display in a smartphone.
The UAProf also suggest that the LG G3 will be powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, the same processor that powers the LG G2.
Other LG G3 specifications include 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a microSD card slot for expandable storage of up to 64GB, 13-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front one. Powered by Android 4.4 (KitKat), the smartphone is expected to have connectivity options like 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Considering the fact that LG prefers to launch its new flagship phones late in the second half of the year, LG G3 is also expected to hit the market shelves as early as July. However, there are some speculations of LG G3 arriving on May 17.
