Micro 3D printer, which had a rather humble target of just $50,000 on Kickstarter, has managed to rake in over $2.3 million in funding with 25 days still to go.
Micro 3D achieved its funding goal in just 11 minutes and zoomed past $1 million funding mark on day one of going live on Kickstarter.
As of this writing 8,216 backers have pledged $2,328,917. Over 7,530 Micro 3D Printers have already been claimed and Maryland-based M3D LLC will start delivery of the printers between October 2014 and February 2015 depending on reward levels.
Micro 3D promises the lowest power consumption of all the 3D printers in the market and will be made available in five colors including silver, black, blue, red/orange, and green.
“What great news to wake up to! Thanks for your continued support and enthusiasm!” wrote M3D on Kickstarter.
“Having so many backers means we have the opportunity to make many more Micros. We planned for multiple levels of production and are ready to deliver your rewards on schedule.”
