Best Buy and Walmart have reduced the pricing of Xbox One Titanfall bundle to just $450 thereby narrowing the price difference between Microsoft’s console and PlayStation 4.
The $450 Xbox One Titanfall bundle deal includes the console and $60 Titanfall game, the Xbox One console, wireless controller, Kinect sensor, chat headset, HDMI cable, and one-month Xbox Live Gold membership.
The price cut isn’t offered by Microsoft, but rather promoted by the retailers themselves. “This is a special promotion offered by Walmart and Best Buy stores in the U.S.,” said David Dennis, a spokesman for Microsoft, in a statement to The New York Times.
“Microsoft sets a suggested retail price, but specific pricing and offers vary by retailer.”
If we consider the full price of Titanfall, the Xbox One console in itself will cost only $390 making it cheaper by $10 than PlayStation 4. Further if we look at PlayStation 4 Infamous: Second Son bundle, Best Buy is offering it for $460 – $10 expensive than the Xbox One Titanfall bundle.
Best buy is offering the deal on online purchases as well as in-store pickup, while Walmart is only offering the discount to walk-in customers.
