The Subaru Impreza will come back to UK in May with prices starting at £17,495, the Japanese car manufacturer has announced. Those looking to get an Impreza with automatic CVT transmission need to add an additional £1,500.
The Car will be available in only one trim level and powered by the 112bhp 1.6 liter Boxer petrol engine with four cylinder power capable of delivering torque of 150Nm. The company claims that car can attain speeds of 0-62mph in just 12.3 seconds and has a top speed of 114mph.
The manual version emits 147g/km of CO2 and gives economy of 44.1mpg while the CVT model gives the economy of 46.3mpg and emits 140g/km of CO2.
The manual version of Imprezza is fitted with limited slip differential and an electronically controlled Multi-plate Transfer clutch that helps manage torque distribution between the front and rear wheels if the car detects one of the axels loosing grip. Subaru has also improved upon the older version giving the car more aerodynamic appearance.
Subaru Impreza packs standard equipments including automatic lights and wipers, front fog lights, power-folding and heated door mirrors, a windscreen de-icing system; dual zone climate control, heated front seats, a reversing camera and USB/AUX connectivity.
Safety equipment includes a brake assistance system which helps apply maximum brake force in an emergency and prevents unintended acceleration in the automatic model.
