LG G2’s international variant aka LG G2 D802 has started receiving Android 4.4 KitKat update in the form of an over-the-air (OTA) update, users have reported.
Android 4.4 KitKat update for LG G2 brings with it new full-screen mode; restyled status and navigation bars; improved security features; improved closed captioning support, and Google Cloud Printer support.
The update also brings with it speed boost wherein apps run 17 percent faster than before while the web browsing speeds also show improvement thanks to the Chromium engine.
Android 4.4 KitKat update for LG G2 first appeared on March 19 according to GSM Arena and it was sighted on AT&T models in the US. This means that other users across the globe are likely to receive the update over the course of next few days – probably weeks.
LG already rolled out Android 4.4 KitKat update in South Korea late last year itself, but never detailed the dates for the release of the update internationally.
