Dong Nguyen, the creator of the highly addictive Flappy Bird, has revealed that the game will be coming back to the Apple App Store as well as Google Play.
When asked whether he was going to put the game back on the App Store, Nguyen replied “Yes. But not soon”. In reply to whether the game will be re-released on Google Play Store, Nguyen replied affirmatively.
Flappy Bird was pulled from app stores of all mobile platforms because Nguyen claimed that the game was addictive and that his life hasn’t been comfortable ever since the game became popular. Nguyen had revealed that the game was making him $50,000 a day in advertising revenue.
“Flappy Bird was designed to play in a few minutes when you are relaxed,” Dong Nguyen told Forbes in an interview after pulling down the game. “But it happened to become an addictive product. I think it has become a problem. To solve that problem, it’s best to take down Flappy Bird. It’s gone forever.”
Nguyen had already indicated a week back that Flappy Bird will flap again and the latest tweet all but confirms the news.
