Microsoft has revealed details of the upcoming Xbox One April update promising improved video quality for recording game footage, improved voice and gesture recognition.
The April update will also include upgraded depth-sensing Kinect camera and microphone platform; notifications when friends sign-in onto Xbox Live for better friends tracking; progress bar during games and apps saving; and flag when apps are being updated or have recently being updated.
One of the highly-requested and anticipated features – saving of games, media and content to external drives – hasn’t made it to April update.
“We value all of the feedback we are getting from you. We know external hard drive storage is still a big one and we’ve promised before it’s on our list – I assure you that it still is,” said Microsoft’s Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson.
Microsoft has already released quite a few updates to Xbox One to address video judder issues; inclusion of new controller profile; support for Dolby Digital audio output; and ability to live stream games footage using Twitch.
