Titanfall has given Microsoft and EA the launch they had expected by topping both the UK individual formats chart and the all formats chart and giving Xbox One a sales jump of 96 percent in the process.
According to Chart-Track, Titanfall has already sold twice the number of copies as FIFA 14 in 2014, but the exact numbers haven’t been released. The week also brought in good news for Xbox One as the console sales jumped 96 percent week-on-week with 70 percent of all Xbox One sales being for the Titanfall bundle.
Dark Souls 2 managed to secure second position in all formats chart and second and third positions in individual formats chart for Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively.
South Park: The Stick Of Truth, which was placed first last week was pushed to third position in all formats chart, while Thief – last week’s second – was pushed to fifth position.
The Lego Movie Videogame retained its fourth position while Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare was pushed to seventh position from third.
With PlayStation 4 exclusive inFamous: Second Son launching this week, it will be interesting to see how Sony’s latest console fares in comparison to Xbox One sales.
