Facebook is rolling out a more simple Pages design this week thereby enabling people to find information they want while helping Page admins to find tools easily.
“This week, we’ll begin rolling out a streamlined look for Pages on desktop that will make it easier for people to find the information they want and help Page admins find the tools they use most”, notes Facebook in an update on its Facebook for Business news page.
The new design brings Pages layout in line with that of member profiles giving Facebook an overall streamlined look. Instead of the existing two column layout, the updated Page timeline design organises Page information and posts into separate columns providing a clutter-free experience.
Under the new design right-side column to display Pages’ posts just like it does in member profiles, while the left-hand column will display information about the business including location, hours, photos among other things.
Alongside the redesign, Facebook is also introducing a new ‘Pages to Watch’ feature under the Page Insight tool allowing Page admins to create a list of Pages which are similar to their own and comparing performance of their Page with that of others.
