Folks over at Nokia would likely have returned to their offices in Finland after unveiling the Nokia X smartphones at MWC 2014, but it is likely that they are already busy packing their bags for a rumoured April 19 Windows Phone 8.1 event.
The news about the event isn’t from Nokia, but has been tweeted about by prolific leaker @evleaks. No details have been provided in the tweet except the possibility of an event on April 19.
“Nokia event April 19th?”, reads the tweet.
We came across rumours earlier that Nokia was prepping for launch of Lumia 1820, Lumia 1520V and Lumia 1525 at the MWC 2014, but that didn’t happen and it seems that these Windows Phone 8.1 handsets might just be released on April 19.
There have been murmours about Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 smartphones, which are apparently codenamed ‘Moneypenny’ and ‘Goldfinger’, and these two handsets may also make appearances at the event.
Chances are that Nokia may unveil high-end Nokia X devices, but this is a long shot just like other devices listed above.
