Monster Worldwide, the global job recruitment leader, on Tuesday announced acquisition of two startups including social profile talent search engine, TalentBin, and social jobs aggregation and distribution technology developer firm, Gozaik LLC.
Monster, through the acquisitions, aims to connect more people and job opportunities by allowing for increased distribution of job ads across social channels and additional employer resources for searching the suitable candidates.
Sal Iannuzzi, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Monster Worldwide, said, “The acquisition of TalentBin and Gozaik completes one key component of a larger strategy designed to help our business grow.”
“We look forward to sharing more details about these plans at our investor briefing event later this year.”
TalentBin, the San Francisco based talent search engine, aggregates and provides information about potential job candidates from various social networking websites including Facebook, Twitter, and Quora to recruiters helping them to reach out to those candidates. The talent search engine also provides CRM tools to allow employers to efficiently manage candidate communications.
Boston based company, Gozaik, allows employers to post targeted job ads across all social channels, providing them the ability to find, engage and hire talent on Twitter and other social networks. Company’s technology is likely to be integrated with Monster’s 6Sense Semantic Search technology to include social media results when searching for candidates through their SeeMore product offering.
Although financial details of the deal are yet to be disclosed, Monster has revealed that both acquisitions will be closed during the first quarter of 2014 and that the company’s strategy briefing for investors has been scheduled for May 14, 2014.
