Early Thursday morning saw quite a few of Google services including Drive, Docs disrupted for nearly 5 hours because of some glitch.
Google Apps Status dashboard showed signs of disruption on Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Sites and the search engine giant acknowledge the issues at about 2pm U.S. Eastern Time.
Google provided regular updates for each of the affected services throughout the disruption and at about 7:30pm declared that all the services were back to normal. However, the company refrained from providing reason behind the disruption.
The affected services not only included the free version of the apps, but also the commercial paid version within Google Apps Suite.
Coincidentally, Google services went down on the same day when Microsoft rebranded its Office Web Apps to Office Online.
