HTC has been making headline since the last two weeks for all the wrong reason – two back to back defeats in patent lawsuits in the UK and Germany against Nokia. In the UK verdict the Judge hinted at a possible successor to the HTC One and this is the second reason the Taiwanese manufacturer has been in the headlines.
According to XDA developers’ users mike1986, the device will be named HTC One+. The One+ terminology seems to indicate an incremental upgrade rather than a completely new design.
Further the developer also claims that the smartphone will pack a Snapdragon 805 processor, a 5-inch Full HD display with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution protected by Gorilla Glass 3, Android 4.4 KitKat, Sense 6.0 UI, 2900mAh battery, 2GB RAM, 6- or 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front one and NFC.
Prolific leakster @evleaks provided a brief specification list of HTC M8 earlier stating that the smartphone will have Snapdragon 800 processor, 1080p display, 2GB RAM, a rear 2.1-megapixel camera, Android KitKat and Sense 6.0 UI. The latest specification list provided by mike1986 all match with that of evleaks except for the processor.
