Evad3rs have updated their evasi0n7 iOS 7 jailbreak tool to version 1.0.2 beta with a fix that resolves the iPad 2 Wi-Fi boot loop issue.
The evasi0n7 1.0.2 is still marked as beta indicating that the tool is still work in progress, but pod2g has revealed that the tool does contain the fix for iPad 2 Wi-Fi issue. “1.0.2 (beta) is up on http://evasi0n.com . Fixes iPad 2 wifi boot loop” tweeted pod2g.
Soon after the jailbreak tool was released, iPad 2 Wi-Fi users started complaining about their tablets being stuck in an endless reboot loop after they run the jailbreak tool. Users tried restoring their iPad 2 through iTunes to 7.0.4 and tried running the jailbreak tool, but to no avail. Evad3rs took note of the issue and posted a warning on their site asking users not to jailbreak iPad 2 Wi-Fi until they investigate and resolve the issues.
Addressing concerns about some people being stuck on ‘configuring step 2/2’ step during the jailbreak process, pod2g suggested that users should try a faster system because a race condition is used at that step which requires speed.
“@starmega5 as I said few mins ago, the solution is to try on a faster computer. A race condition is used at that step, and it requires speed” tweeted pod2g.
Please, do let us know if in the comments section if you have an iPad 2 Wi-Fi and whether you have been able to successfully jailbreak your tablet with evasi0n7 1.0.2 (beta).
It has fixed the boot loop, now it boots into a black screen and then tries to reboot again… Nah I don’t mind to much. ????
