Renaultsport has announced two new upgraded models in its Mégane line-up – the 275 Cup-S and 275 Nav – for the year 2016.
The 275 Cup-S gets a price cut on top of the more powerful 271bhp turbocharged 2-litre engine of the Trophy. Further Renaultsport has also left out the unnecessary options in the car and instead if offering £1350 Cup pack as standard. If you go for a Cup-S without any add-on options, you will get the car for £23,935 – a significant £4995 cheaper than the Trophy.
If you do wish to shell out a little extra, you can go for Ohlins dampers for £2000 taking the overall cost to £25,935. However, this is still cheaper than the entry level Volkswagen Golf GTI.
The lower list price means that Cup-S owners won’t be getting luxurious fitting including leather upholstery and not even a climate control system.
For those looking for a bit more luxury, it is recommended that you go for the 275 Nav wherein you get much more features as standard and many more add-on options.
Renaultsport is giving away automatic lights and wipers, climate control, a hands free keycard, parking sensors, powerful 4x35W sound system, R-Link multimedia and satnav, heated leather seats, tinted rear windows and an electronically adjustable driver’s seat as standard in the 275 Nav.
Configuration wise, the 275 Nav is a direct replacement of the old 265 and the pricing hasn’t change either at £25,935.
The company is already taking order and first deliveries are expected to commence in November.
