Nintendo has managed to sell well over 2 million units of its 3DS family of consoles – Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS – new reports have claimed.
Nintendo has revealed that though the 2 million units in sales in the UK alone is a great achievement, the 3DS handheld gaming console isn’t doing as well as its predecessor the Nintendo DS, which has been more successful.
The recent price cuts of Nintendo 2DS may have been one of the factors behind increased sales of the gaming console, which even managed to top UK charts in the last week of October.
Christmas period is a bonus for such consoles considering the affordability factor and the new and impressive lineup of games including Animal Crossing: New Leaf, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Pokemon X & Y.
