Google has cut the prices of its Nexus 9 tablet in the UK by up to £119 thereby making the 16GB variant of the tablet available for just £200.
Both Amazon and Argos have cut £119 off the 16GB version and with a £100 price cut on 32GB version, the tablet is available for £299.99 instead of the £400 R.R.P. The price cuts have seemingly been imposed on retailer partners only as Google isn’t offering much of a discount on its own site.
Google is currently on a price reduction spree as the Nexus 9 price cuts follow those applied to Nexus 6. Google cut a whopping £175 from the RRP of £479 and is selling the handset for just £304.
The price cuts come at a time when there have been increasing number of rumours that the search engine giant is planning to release upgraded variants of its tablet as well as smartphone.
There have been reports that Google is planning to launch a LG made Nexus 5 this year. It is said that the new handset might see light of the day sometime in October or November; however there have been reports that peg an earlier August release of the handset alongside Android M.
The rumoured Nexus 5 (2015) is said to feature a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB RAM, a 2-megapixel front snapper and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
