The recently announced LG G4 sibling dubbed ‘LG G4c’ is up for pre-orders in the UK from high street retailer Carphone Warehouse.
Carphone Warehouse has listed the handset in three color options, Metallic Gray, Ceramic White and Shiny Gold, with an expected delivery date of June 8. While all three color variants can be purchased online, only gray LG G4c handsets will be available at retail outlets. The retailer is offering various monthly installment options for the LG G4c, starting as low as £15.50.
A more compact version of the flagship LG G4, the LG G4c features a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM; 8GB of inbuilt storage; supports expandable storage; 8-megapixel rear camera; 5-megapixel front camera and a 2540mAh battery. The handset promises to offer a standby time of up to 1,010 hours and talk time of up to 15 hours. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, A-GPS and LTE.
The handset runs Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system as well as a UI derived from the 2015 flagship LG G4 smartphone. The UI has features like Knock Code, which allows users to unlock the phone by tapping a personalized ‘knock’ pattern on the display, Gesture Shot, which allows the camera to open and close a hand in front of the lens to start a three-second countdown for the shutter; and Glance View, which shows key notifications on the display when it is turned off.
Carphone Warehouse will start shipping the LG G4c on June 8 so it is expected that the handset will hit retail around the same time frame.
