An unofficial CyanogenMod 11 ROM for Nexus 5 has surfaced on XDA Developers allowing enthusiastic Nexus 5 owners to get a taste of the custom CM ROM.
CyanogenMod team pushed out the CM11 code sometime back and XDA-Developers Forum member m3dd0g has already managed to cook a custom ROM for recently announced Nexus 5. The latest Google Apps addon is also up for grabs on the forum thread.
Interested users can download the ZIP files here and follow the instructions provided on the forum, but we would like to remind them that this is not a final release and there are chances that a number of bugs may affect their experience with the smartphone.
The forum member hasn’t listed any known issues and is requesting users to report any bugs that they may come across.
Users are reminded that burning a custom ROM onto Nexus 5 will void the smartphone’s warranty and no one else can be held responsible for the outcome if the ROM flashing goes haywire.
