New reports suggest LG might soon roll out a compact version of its recently released G4 flagship smartphone.
The report, courtesy Dutch retail website WinFuture, claims that G4’s smaller sibling will be named ‘LG G4c’. The website has posted an image of the purported handset revealing the LG G4c with a patterned plastic design on its rear.
As per the report, the LG G4c will use a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 chip, which is down on the G4’s octa-core Snapdragon 808. It will make use of a 5-inch IPS display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. There’ll also be 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 2,540mAh battery inside.
On the camera front, the handset is expected to boast an 8-megapixel snapper on the rear and a 5-megapixel sensor on the front. The LG G4c will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop, but will ship skinned with LG’s own UX 4.0.
The LG G4c is expected to be priced between £205 and £222. The publication further notes that the smartphone will be launched in Germany during the first week of June.
While it hasn’t been officially announced, there’s a good chance that the report might turn out to be just a rumor.
