Warner Bros’ fighting gaming title Mortal Kombat X has succeeded in retaining No. 1 spot in the UK gaming charts for the consecutive third week ending May 2.
Even with a 32 per cent fall in week-on-week sales, Mortal Kombat X continued to hold its position at the top of the charts and it now needs just one more week at No.1 to match the record set by Battlefield Hardline.
Grand Theft Auto V and Battlefield Hardline remained at the number two and number three positions respectively, same as last week.
In spite of a lack of new releases, the bank holiday weekend boosted the entertainment software sales up by 6 per cent week-on-week.
Meanwhile, FIFA 15 climbed to No.4 position, owing to a 16 per cent hike in sales, all thanks to retailer promotions on the Xbox 360 500GB hardware bundle. Minecraft: PlayStation Edition dropped to number five, while Dying Light was up two spots to number six.
