Acer has announced a new phablet dubbed ‘Acer Liquid X2’, which offers a tri-SIM support and promises a two-day battery life. The Acer Liquid X2 was unveiled at the company’s global press conference held in New York City on Thursday.
The 5.5 inch phablet features a massive 4000 mAh battery, a 64-bit octa-core processor, and not two, but three SIM card slots. On the camera front, Acer Liquid X2 sports a 13MP rear and front-facing camera with f/1.8 sensor.
The phablet’s display is said to be a full HD display, but the resolution for the device has not yet been revealed. The massive battery is expected to last for roughly two days, though Acer has not verified this at this time. The smartphone will run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and will update to Android 5.1 as soon as it launches.
Acer has also unveiled Quick Flip covers, specially designed for the X2, featuring a narrow window for notification display. The Liquid X2 will be available in four colors – white, red, blue and brown.
Availability and pricing details of the phablet are yet to be announced, but Acer has revealed that the device is coming to the UK for sure.
Meanwhile, Acer also unveiled three new fitness tracking wearable- the Liquid Leap Fit, Liquid Leap Curve and Liquid Leap Active. Pricing and availability details of the wearable even remained unannounced.
