Amazon has updated its music streaming service ‘Prime Music’ for iOS with support for radio stations.
The updated Amazon Music iOS app version 4.0 now supports “Prime Stations,” which lets users select ad-free radio stations based on artists and genres. Prime Stations are currently restricted to only Amazon Prime subscribers who get ad-free access to more than a million songs.
Listeners can skip through songs as much as they want without interruption. The app features an updated suggestion engine that helps users create their own playlists from Prime songs, albums, and playlists based on their listening preferences. Furthermore, the free Amazon Music app also allows users to stream their own music libraries from the cloud or play locally on their iOS device.
In addition, the redesigned iOS app now also features a new cleaner design for easier browsing, more efficient options to find specific songs, simplified navigation and a few performance enhancements as well.
Prime Stations was already available on the web, PC, Mac, and Fire tablet apps and now it has finally landed on iOS. There’s no word on Android support yet.
The updated Amazon Prime Music app for iOS is now available for download on the App Store for free for devices running iOS 7 or later.
