Everything Everywhere, one of Britain’s leading mobile operators, has announced expansion of its 4G network coverage in 14 new towns and cities.
Benfleet, Caerphilly, Carlisle, Chepstow, Caldicot, Canvey Island, Cwmbran, Grays, Harlow, Hatfield, Kenilworth, Rayleigh, Southport and Worksop are the cities to get EE’s superfast 4G mobile internet service from today.
The 4GEE service was earlier available only in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton, Sunderland, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton.
The 4GEE internet service plans will now be available in around 131 towns and cities in the UK covering 60 percent of the population. Everything Everywhere aims to cover 98 percent of the UK population by 2014 end.
Olaf Swantee, Everything Everywhere CEO, said “One year on from our launch we are bringing 4G to even more places, making the UK’s fastest mobile network available to even more people. We continue to grow our 4G coverage all around the country, and the new range of plans gives consumers and businesses more flexibility and choice in how they access superfast mobile”.
The new 4GEE plans will start from £18.99 per month. Along with the low-cost 4G packages, the company will also announce “4GEE Extra” plans, “4GEE mobile broadband” plans and the UK’s first pay-as-you-go 4G plans with devices starting from £129.99.
The company in a press statement also mentioned that “EE will also launch a Christmas pay as you go promotion. Until 31st January, all pay as you go customers on EE can receive 2014 free minutes, to use throughout the whole of 2014”.
