Facebook is currently testing an Android dialer app dubbed ‘Phone,’ new leaked pictures suggest.
Leaked screenshots of the under-testing app, which recently surfaced on of technology news website, Android Police, hints the new dialer app from Facebook will support usual features like caller ID, call-blocking, instant call and more.
“Phone is new app that shows you info about who’s calling and automatically blocks calls from commonly blocked numbers”, the app description read.
The [FB-ONLY] tag on the app’s leaked screenshot hints that the app is probably on an internal testing mode. It might be that someone from Facebook’s internal testing team accidentally released the app live before it was supposed to.
Tapping on the install or update button leads to a ‘no page found’ error, possibly because the application is stored internally on Facebook’s intranet for security purposes.
Facebook has made no mention of the app as of yet, so there are even chances that it might never release the app. Nevertheless, thanks to the leaked screenshot that we at least know that the social networking giant is testing such an app.
