Amazon is offering a special deep discount on its Fire smartphone in the UK, but that’s only for one day.
The online retailer has slashed the prices of its 32GB and 64GB Fire Phone smartphones to £99 and £149 respectively. The 32GB and 64GB Fire Phone normally costs £399 and £479.
However, it is to be noted that the offered phones will come network-locked and work with an O2 SIM card only.
To recap, the Amazon Fire phone features a 4.7-inch 720p display, 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2 GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, 13MP camera at the back, 2.1 MP shooter at the front, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac connectivity, LTE and a 2400 mAh battery. The Fire Phone measures 139.2×66.5×8.9mm and weighs 160g.
Dynamic perspective and object recognition feature are two of the notable features of the Amazon phone. While dynamic perspective feature makes use of four infrared, front-facing cameras to track head movements and shift perspectives depending on a user’s activity, the Firefly object recognition feature helps in identifying items and product names captured with the device’s camera including Web and email addresses, phone numbers, bar codes, and millions of products enabling users to purchase them in just seconds.
Earlier this month Amazon also slashed the price of its Fire Phone in the U.S. to $189.
The £99 offer is valid only for today. You can order the Fire Phone on the Amazon UK website.
