Nokia’s newest Android tablet offering ‘N1’, which went on sale in China on Thursday, took just four minutes and two seconds to get sold out.
Developed by Nokia and manufactured by Foxconn, the Nokia N1 was launched in China at a CNY 1,599 ($249) price tag.
Unveiled in November last year, the Nokia N1 tablet features a 7.9-inch 2,048×1,536 touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a 64-bit 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor coupled with a PowerVR G6430 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt storage, an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera, a 5-megapixel fixed focus camera and a 5300mAh battery offering 9 hours battery life. The slate runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nokia’s Z Launcher on top.
Connectivity options on Nokia N1 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/n/ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with reversible Type-C connector, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Nokia N1 has a unibody aluminium design, measures 200.7×138.6×6.9mm and weighs in at 318 grams.
The device is expected to hit some of the European markets from February with the possibility of a wider international roll-out in the future.
