Fresh clues indicate that Google will be releasing its Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat on October 28 and not on October 18 as reported earlier.
The Google+ post which we referred to earlier talks about “Everybody dance now!” song from C+C Music Factory which was released on October 18 and the song is exactly 4 minutes 4 seconds long because of which many including us were led to believe that Android 4.4 will debut on October 18.
However, digging deeper we came to known that the band was actually known as “The 28th Street Crew” signaling a possible October 28 launch. Further a tweet from @KitKat provides another clue which reads “This is it” which is a movie dedicated to Michael Jackson released on October 28.
The Google+ post and tweet on Twitter have October 28 as a common thing and hence we anticipate that Google will launch its Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat on October 28 and possibly Google Gem – its rumoured smartwatch.
Google wouldn’t definitely risk just two days worth of notice to members of the press by scheduling an October 18 launch event. Further, the US Government shut down has seemingly played spoiled Google’s party as chances are that Nexus 5 and Gem may have received the FCC clearance yet and they are still in the queue.
