Apple sent out press invites for its October 22 event where it is likely that Cupertino will be unveiling its next-gen iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 and MacBook Pro refreshes.
The event is to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, but there are reports that the company will also live stream the event to members of international press in London just like it does with its iPhone launch.
In case of the iPhone event, Apple sent out invites to members of the press in Beijing, Berlin and Tokyo and hosted satellite event. Each of the event features video stream of announcements and this time around it is expected that Apple will do the same in London – most likely at the Kings Place hall starting 18:00 GMT.
According to a report on 9to5mac, Apple is also likely to hold private streaming for its employees located the world over. Live streaming for employees would be interesting considering that Apple failed to host one for its iPhone 5S, 5C unveil on September 10. Tim Cook attributed the inability to live stream the event to the “restrictions of the smaller Apple Town Hall venue in Cupertino.”
During the October 22 event, we may also see public release of Mac OS X Mavericks, new Macs, and probably quite a few other things we are not aware of as yet.
