Details of a 12.2-inch iPad Air Plus have surfaced on the web with a Japanese publication Mac Fan leaking schematics of the alleged big-screened tablet and claiming that the tablet will pack an A9 processor, and feature a slim design among other things.
According to Mac Fan (via Macotakara) Apple is going to name its 12-inch iPad as the iPad Air Plus rather than iPad Pro and that it will be powered by A9 processor, stereo audio through four speakers, and will be launched sometime in April and June of 2015.
The site is known to have reported few accurate findings about Apple’s devices – one of them being iPhone 6 Plus display resolution.

The site also claims that Apple is also working on iPad mini 4 and upon its launch, it will discontinue the iPad mini and iPad mini 3, leaving just the iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 4.
Other major publications including Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal have reported similar timelines of new iPad launches – early 2015. Few reports also indicated that Apple delayed mass production of the larger iPad from December 2014 to early 2015 in a bid to cater to increased demands of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus launch.
Supply chain reports have hinted at start of mass production of larger iPad in Q1 or Q2 2015.
